The Deepsea Challenge marks a historic milestone as the first Rolex crafted entirely from RLX titanium. This material choice makes the watch surprisingly light and comfortable on the wrist despite its robust dimensions – approximately 30% lighter than the experimental steel prototype. The intensive satin finish lends the model a technical and matte aesthetic that visually distinguishes it clearly from traditional polished watches.

Designed to withstand the extreme pressure of the deep sea, this model is water-resistant to an incredible depth of 11,000 metres. The heart of this resilience is the patented Ringlock system, which uses a nitrogen-alloyed steel ring to absorb pressure on the 9.5mm-thick sapphire crystal. In addition, the helium valve ensures that excess gas can safely escape during decompression without damaging the case.

At 50mm in diameter, this is the largest commercial watch in Rolex's history, ensuring maximum legibility through the long-lasting blue glow of the Chromalight display. This giant is powered by the Manufacture movement Calibre 3230, equipped with the Chronergy escapement and the blue Parachrom hairspring, offering the highest precision and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
